    Abstract

    Nowadays GPS is a tool that can replace the role of a compass that serves as a signpost. In addition to the GPS pointer can also be used as a bookmark position we are. And in this final project will be developed as a function of GPS in addition to the pointer direction and positioning. In this final task will be made an application that allows users especially for users of the Muslim religion to determine the direction of Qibla when located in a location that has never known before. This application will be made using J2ME programming language (Java 2 Micro Edition), which aims to this application can be installed on a phone that supported by the GPS device inside. So that these applications efficient and easy to use anywhere and anytime because it has been installed in a mobile GPS. Qibla direction-detection application is able to show the position of our existence which then automatically indicates the position of Qibla direction from the position we are now. So that the user or Muslims are easier to get accurate directions existence mecca.
