Abstract
Nowadays, there is significant improvement of development in Intrusion Detection System tecnology. At the same time, the tecnology of intrusion is getting sophisticated and improved as well. For example, there are more than 359000 computers infected by worm of code red in 14 hours in 2001, with the loss of approximately 2 billions dollar.The problems may occur in guarding a network. Firstly, the methods and technology used by intruder are developing. Secondly, vulnerability of softwares and the complexity of internet make detection system difficult in protecting the system. Thirdly, architecture of the centralized IDS will make the system vulnerable with DoS attacks. Based on the fore-mentioned problems, a colaborated IDS which enables to overcome the problems is badly needed. The system can detect an intrusion fast and acurately bacause it will exchange the information from suspected sources.
