Abstract
Technology in robotics field today has grown rapidly and very spacious, it has been proved by robots are used in the many sectors. Robots also can replace the jobs that can not be done by humans. The development of these technologies demand the appearance of an innovation of robot to be more beneficial, one of them as a security system. In this final project, I will make integrated robot named Eyebot. Eyebot is a robot that has ability to find, detect and capture the movement of an object. Eyebot is an application of Computer Vision science using the existing Image Processing methods. Eyebot is equipped with a camera webcam as its eye that can detect and capture the movement of an object. Beside that, eyebot is equipped with two DC motors that can rotate to right-left and top-down direction to move the camera towards the target. PC as robot‟s brain process the incoming image, make decisions, and give instruction to the control circuit to move the robot parts accordance with target condition. I hope that Eyebot can be useful as a security system with a high level of accuracy. Keyword : Eyebot, robotics, computer vision, image processing, webcam, DC motor.
