    Abstract

GPS represents an appliance navigation which can be used to know or determine the position of an object desired or controlled. In its applying, system GPS more common public used in the field of shipping which can assist in course of work in the ship, specially in system drive theship. This final project will be made by a control systems applied at the ship drive that is auto control systems of pilot using system GPS ( Global Positioning System ). This control systems is designed with the electrical system of control exploiting microcontroller and GPS as its control media. With the input data coming from GPS and microcontroller will sending to driver to move the drive and ship propeller untill to receiving location. Data used at program of GPS this is a setting data and realtime data where setting data is location data target of ship desist and realtime date ship position date which in fact. If the date south latitude and east longitude coordinate date that is sent is different from the GPS satellite date set then the ship will continue to move forward towards the desired destination coordinates. And if date south latitude and east longitude coordinate date that is sent to GPS satellites together with the date set then the ship will stop in accordance with the desired coordinates. With accuracy up to 72.5%. These systems still have the effect of natural and environmental conditions so that the operation needs to consider the natural conditions and environment.
