    Abstract

    In this final project, the authors apply the concept of RPG-based educational games or role playing game with the theme Introductory Computer Network. This game is designed specifically with the main purpose of delivering educational materials to the player or the player that the scenario presented in the form of adventure game. This game is specifically designed to be played by junior high school students third grade. Due to the current learning media made only through the book, hopefully with the existence of this game could be an alternative medium of learning for students so that students can be attracted and easier to understand. In manufacturing, the authors use the software to design the RPG genre game called RMXP (RPG Maker XP) and for the script editor has provided RGSS Script (Ruby Game Scripting System). With a script editor, the writer can change and amend the system on the game which will surely provide more freedom for the player or players by not forgetting the main purpose of making this game, namely the delivery of educational materials with the theme Introductory Computer Network. Results from this game turned out to have a fairly good response among the third grade junior high school students, with the respondents is quite high, expected later this game can be accepted and implemented among students.
