Abstract
In this final project design and manufacture of Horn Antenna field-E at a frequency of 2.4 GHz with a widening in the direction of electric field of 31.17 cm. Making the antenna is done by three different materials namely aluminum, copper and zinc, with the same size. Of the three antennas will compare and evaluate the efficiency with directivitas measurements obtained from the gains. Of the three antennas will be implemented in the 2.4 GHz wireless LAN network using video conferencing applications. From the results of measurements on the antenna radiation pattern with HPBW zinc has a value of 44 ° at the field-H, and 42 ° at the field-E with a directivity of 15.8 dB, so has the value of efficiency equal to 46,45%. In the antenna with the material aluminum on H-plane HPBW value of 42 ° and on-field E of 39 ° with a directivity of 14.01 dB, so has the value of efficiency equal to 65,15%. And on an antenna with a copper material on the field-H has a value of HPBW of 40 ° and on field-E of 35 ° with a directivity of 14.69 dB, so has the value of efficiency equal to 69.97%. In video conferencing applications using the Horn antenna field-E produces value-delay, jitter, and throughput in the day greater than in the morning and afternoon. QoS can be said that the value was in accordance with ITU standards are set so that the third antenna is still fit for use for video conferencing. Keyword : Horn Antenna field-E , Wireless LAN
